iPhone 16 Launch Live Updates:-
Apple unveiled its iPhone 16 series at the ‘It’s Glowtime’ event. The Cupertino-based tech giant unveiled four new iPhone models: iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.
The new iPhone is built for generative artificial intelligence as it seeks to boost sales and show it is keeping up in the technology race.
The iPhone 16 has retained last year’s pricing, with the 128GB variants to start at approximately ₹65,000 ($799) and ₹74,000 ($899), respectively.
iPhone 16 could get a major design overhaul with a vertical camera layout, compared to diagonal camera setup from last year. The new upgrade is being touted as a way to help the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus help capture spatial video.
For the Pro and Pro Max models of iPhone 16, significant enhancements are expected, particularly in the rear camera system, design, chipset, AI capabilities, battery life, and display size. These improvements could potentially lead to higher prices for these models.
iPhone 16 price in India:-
iPhone 16 Launch Key Updates: iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus come at the same starting price of ₹79,900 and 89,900 as last year despite boasting a much more powerful CPU. Meanwhile, the 256GB version of the iPhone 16 is priced at ₹89,900 and 512GB version is priced at ₹1,09,900. iPhone 16 Plus, on the other hand, is priced at ₹99,900 for the 256GB variant and ₹1,19,900 for the 512GB variant.
The new iPhone 16 variants will be available in five colourways: black, white, pink, teal and ultramarine. They will be available to pre-order from September 13 and can be bought from September 20 onwards.
iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max features:-
- A Glimpse into the iPhone 16 Pro: The star of the show was undoubtedly the iPhone 16 Pro and its larger counterpart, the iPhone 16 Pro Max. Both models boast Apple’s largest-ever displays, with sizes extending to 6.3 inches for the Pro and an impressive 6.9 inches for the Pro Max. These devices also feature the thinnest borders ever seen on an Apple product and the advanced Always-On 120Hz ProMotion display technology.
- Powerful New Chips and AI Features: The iPhone 16 Pro is powered by the cutting-edge A18 Pro chip. This new chip is even faster and more efficient than its predecessor, utilizing 2nd-generation 3nm transistors and featuring a 16-core neural engine capable of 35 trillion operations per second.
- Video and Audio Innovations: The iPhone 16 Pro supports 4K120 capture, enabling cinematic-quality recording with frame-by-frame colour grading in Dolby Vision.
- MagSafe and Accessories: The new MagSafe ecosystem includes clear and silicone cases with sapphire crystal for enhanced camera control.

iPhone 16 Launch Live Updates: The new iPhone 16 variants have received a major processor boost with the new A18 chipset.
The latest chipset runs on 3nm technology with a 6-core CPU, including 2 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores.
The iPhone 16 models have a 30% faster CPU and 40% faster GPU than its predecessor, while also remaining more power efficient.
The most significant design change on the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus is a vertical pill-shaped camera layout that houses the 48MP Fusion camera with 2x optical zoom and 12MP ultra-wide angle lens, which also enables macro photography.
iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus also feature the Action Button, which was reserved for the Pro lineup until last year.
There is also a new ‘Camera Control’ on all 4 iPhone 16 models, which is Apple’s way of adding a new touch-sensitive button that can be used to launch the Camera app, take photos and videos, zoom in and out of photos, and adjust other settings such as exposure and depth of field.
